THE sun shone on Builth Wells Carnival on Saturday on what was one of the hottest days of the year.
As a result the crowds turned out and the refreshments stands did a roaring trade. The judging of the floats and fancy dress entrants took place on the groe before the carnival procession toured the town. The overall top place in the carnival floats went to Mr AW Brown and family of Llanelwedd with their entry ‘Rocky Mountain Goldrush Homecoming’. The family were winners two years ago with a float with the theme of ‘Ghost Ship’.
