POLICE sealed off the residential street in Llandrindod Wells where alleged murder victim Mark Watson's body was discovered on the weekend. Ambulance men who found Mr Watson's body in Temple Street before six o'clock on Saturday morning, May 7, immediately called the police after discovering a stab wound. Temple Avenue, where a number of large red brick Victorian town houses have been converted into bedsits, was closed as Dyfed Powys Police detectives and scenes of crime officers set about their grisly task. Temple Avenue resident Dennis James, 60 - who said he'd been told Mr Watson lived in Rosslare, the same multiple occupancy building as himself - said: "The police came to the door and that was the first I knew about it." Sheila Jenkins, who lives in nearby Montpelier Park, added: "I was going out on Saturday but we couldn't drive down the Avenue as the road was cordoned off." Temple Avenue has since been re-opened.
