A STUDENT with a head for figures is hoping a combination of her good looks and modelling experience add up to her becoming the next Miss Wales.

Accounting student Laura Dwyer, 19, from Llangynidr, near Brecon is hoping to impress the judges as the only Brecon and Radnorshire representative in the finals of the contest.

Now former Crickhowell High School student Laura will battle it out against 66 other hopefuls in her bid to be crowned http://www.misswales.co.uk/home.html&quot">http://www.misswales.co.uk/home.html" target="_blank">Miss Wales.

Laura said: "I believe it's a fantastic opportunity for young women to boost their confidence and change people's lives."
