BRECON has been named one of the best places to live in Britain by the Sunday Times newspaper.
It cited the annual Brecon Jazz Festival, steady property prices and it being the 'perfect base for some of the best mountain walking in the country' as factors that make the town one of the best places to live.
The newspaper used a range of factors including local shops and services to determine quality of life and produce its 101 Best Place to Live list.
Monmouth was named the best place to live in Wales while Skipton in Yorkshire was named the best place to live overall.
