THE 2018 Brecon Classic Motor Show will be the fifth consecutive year for the show organised by Brecon Motor Club and will again be held at Paddy’s Field near Libanus on the A470 between Brecon and Merthyr Tydfil. Opening at 10.30am and closing at 4pm, the show will be entertaining for families and car enthusiasts alike. Entry per car is £5 for parking or £2.50 per head for foot entry – children free.

Since the inaugral event in August 2014, the number of both entries and visitors has grown substantially each year. At the first show in 2014, over 100 classic and historic cars were displayed together with more than 20 pre and post war classic motorcycles. Today, BCMS is now the largest collection of classic cars and motorcycles seen together in Powys each year with over 300 historic vehicles on display at the 2016 event.

The Brecon and Radnor Express has sponsored the event since day one and thousands of pounds have been collected at the event for various charities including Wales Air Ambulance and Brecon Dial-a-Ride. This year’s show will donate part of the funds raised to the local hospice support charities Usk House Day Hospice and St David’s Hospice Care who provided amazing care towards the end. We will also once again be supporting The Wales Air Ambulance.

Facilities will be improved this year and there are plans to include a show ring with activities, demonstrations and parades throughout the day to keep the attention and maximise the enjoyment of visitors and exhibitors, and also to offer a number of ‘experience rides’ for visitors. The ring will feature activities throughout the day including commentary, owner interviews and previews of vehicles. You can also expect a ‘Best of Show’ parade around the ring towards the end of the afternoon.

Refreshments will be available throughout the day. You will find a selection of carefully chosen, quality food and beverage vendors at the show and a bar plus Porta-loos at a few locations for your convenience. All vendors will be contributing to the charities.

It will be another day to remember for participants and visitors alike. The committee of the Brecon Classic Motor Show are very much looking forward to welcoming you all on Sunday.
