A new event space has opened just outside Brecon, offering a rural setting for meetings, conferences and workshops - and with a strong local touch.

The Grain Shed at Brynich is a purpose-designed venue room set in the heart of Bannau Brycheiniog, just a mile from Brecon.

Tucked away in peaceful, rural surroundings, it provides a tranquil alternative to the usual office environment - without compromising on modern facilities.

The space is fully equipped with WiFi and a range of presentation media, and can be arranged to suit different event styles, whether boardroom, theatre or workgroup layout. A breakout room and mezzanine level add further flexibility, making it ideal for both small gatherings and larger sessions.

With easy access from the A40 and A470 trunk roads and ample free parking on site, The Grain Shed is well-positioned as a central meeting point for organisations from across Wales.

In addition to the venue itself, guests can enjoy a bespoke catering service. Menus can be tailored to suit dietary needs or themes, including healthy options, local produce or Welsh-inspired dishes. The team at Brynich is proud to hold a top Food Hygiene rating of 5.

What also makes the Grain Shed stand out is not just its setting or spec - it’s the community of businesses who have helped make it possible.

From carpentry and plastering to furniture and fabric, much of the work to transform the space has been carried out by local tradespeople and small firms.

The owners have thanked the following for their support in bringing the project to life: DCH Carpentry, JA Jones, B Jenkins, Bespoke Wood and Hire (@rusticrestle), Butterfill’s, Hillscott, Lee Mill Fabric (Swansea), Bryn Williams Plumbing and Heating, and JM Evans Plastering.
