A temporary road closure will be in place between Three Cocks and Llyswen starting from next week.
The A4079 between the two villages will be closed on behalf of Powys County Council so the road can be resurfaced.
Residents will be able to get around the road closure by following the official diversion via the A479 to the A438. There is also a route, which is not suitable for larger vehicles, which is by travelling from the A470 onto the B4350 towards Glasbury.
The A4079 will be shut to drivers from the roundabout on the A479, between Llyswen and Bronllys, to the junction where it joins the A438 in Three Cocks.
The road is closed from Monday, January 6, until Friday, January 10.
