Town councils across Brecon and Radnorshire have paid tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II.
Councillor David Meredith, Mayor of Brecon said: “It is with immense sadness that the residents of Brecon mourn the death of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
“She devoted 70 years of her life to the reign over the United Kingdom and Commonwealth.
“We pay tribute to Her Majesty’s devotion and dedication in upholding the values and traditions of the British monarchy.
“We offer sincere condolences to her family on this very sad occasion.”
A book of condolence is available for signing at the Brecon Guildhall today until 4pm, and thereafter Monday to Friday 9am to 1pm until Tuesday, September 20.
Llandrindod Wells said it is with great sadness they heard of Her Majesty’s passing, and their thoughts go out to her family.
Builth Wells Town Council has said a condolence book will be available at Strand Hall from Monday, and flower tributes are welcome in the Cenotaph gardens.
The Mayor, councillors and town clerk of Presteigne and Norton Town Council said they are “saddened” by the passing of the Queen.
“She has been a wonderful monarch and will be missed around the world as well as here in Presteigne and Norton and throughout the UK,” they said.
Rhayader Town Council has lowered the towns flags to half mast and anyone wishing to lay flowers can do so on North road roundabout.
Crickhowell Town Council offered its condolences to the Royal Family as it joins the nation in mourning.
For those local to Crickhowell, a book of condolence will be available for residents to sign at Clarence Hall, Beaufort Street. Details of the dates and times for signing will be released shortly.
