ON Tuesday, July 10, Jim Davies, presented a cheque for £1,250 to the chair of the Dolwen Field Development Committee, D Barlow, on behalf of the 'Shane Davies Memorial Tractor Run' which was held in Llanwrtyd Wells on May 20.
A few of those who took part can be seen here in the photograph but in all 57 tractors of all shapes, sizes and colours created an amazing spectacle as they set off from Ysgol Dolafon in Llanwrtyd Wells to wind their way through the local countryside.
The money raised will be used towards creating an innovative recreational facility on the Dolwen Field for all sectors of the Community to use.
The Dolwen Field Development Committee wish to express huge thanks to all those who took part on the day and for this generous donation. This is just one more example of the community of Llanwrtyd taking responsibility for their own development and in doing so making our town a place to be proud of.
