A FORMER chief executive of Brecon’s theatre has been described as a “bright spark of personality” following his death.
Martyn Green, who had been in charge of Theatr Brycheiniog for two years from November 2015 until last October, died last week. He was 53.
Before taking over at the canalside venue Martyn had been the chief executive at the Courtyard arts centre in Hereford, for 10 years from 2003 to 2013 and then worked for three years as the chief executive of older people’s charity Age UK Suffolk.
Among initiatives he started at Theatr Brycheiniog were programmes to involve older people in the arts including people with dementia.
See this week's Brecon & Radnor Express to read tributes to Martyn from people who knew him during his time in Brecon.
