TRIBUTES have been paid to two men from the Brecon and Hay-on-Wye communities who have died recently.
Gwynne Prosser, 52, of Brecon, was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumour in July after being taken ill while at work while Mally, or Malcolm, Powell, from Llanigon, had battled throat cancer.
Gwynne, who worked in Brecon with his undertaker father Doug, was a leading member of the Church House Snooker Club.
He had attended a charity football match, between Brecon based supporters of his beloved Cardiff City and South Wales rivals Swansea City, earlier this month which raised, in his name, more than £1,000 for good causes including the Church House club.
Meanwhile sheep farmer Mally, who was 48, has been remembered for his long and varied music career, based in London, which saw him and various bands he fronted share bills with big name acts like Pulp and My Life Story.
