One of the UK’s go-to camping and glamping booking platforms, Campsites.co.uk, has announced its much-anticipated Camping and Glamping Award winners for 2023.

The annual Campsites.co.uk Camping and Glamping awards highlight the best camping, glamping, and touring sites across the UK, celebrating those who have gone above and beyond for outdoor enthusiasts throughout the year.

The awards span various categories, including ‘Best Campsite’, ‘Best Glamping Site’ and ‘Most Unique Site’. Other specific categories include ‘Greener Site Award’ and ‘Best Coastal Campsite’.The awards also spotlight the 'Best Budget Campsite', which proves that unforgettable camping memories don’t need to come with a price tag.

Cwmdu Campsite in Crickhowell, picked up the award for Best Campsite (Mid Wales) and Wigwam Holidays Builth Wells won the Best Glamping Site (Mid Wales) award.

Sarah Farr from Cwmdu Campsite said: "We are absolutely thrilled to be awarded Best Campsite as well as Best Family campsite in our region. My family started working on this campsite in the 1950s and we are now the third generation running it.

"We care deeply about improving the site every year and making sure our guests and the local community have a great place to visit, walk through, and stop to use our on-site shop, coffee trailer or popup food stalls.

"We are currently working with our community council to help them improve the play equipment in the community field next door to us, and look forward to welcoming more families to the area in the future. Our goal is to continue to connect people with nature and the outdoors, and the Bannau Brycheiniog  National Park provides the ideal location for this."

Emma Staggs from Wigwam Holidays in Builth Wells, who won Best Glamping Site, told The Brecon & Radnor Express: "It was a real honour to be awarded by Campsites.co.uk. They have so many wonderful places listed to stay that I was overjoyed to be recognised for our efforts.

"Running an accommodation business can be extremely hard work so to be rewarded with this wonderful accolade has made it all worthwhile. It brings me great joy to share our small site with others and we do get to meet some truly amazing people.

"Thank you Campsites.co.uk for the recognition and thank you to all of our friends, family and guests that support us."
