WHEN the school bell rings to mark the end of term this week it will also signal the closure of a 139-year-old village school.
Cwmdu Church in Wales School will close its doors for the Easter Holidays on Friday afternoon, March 30 but for the first time since the school opened in 1873 the gates will not swing open again for the summer term.
