SIX Wales rugby stars turned out for a Grand Slam Fun Day to celebrate the opening of the new Londis shop at Bronllys Garage.
Gareth Davies, Rob Evans, Dan Lydiate, Scott Williams, Dafydd Jones and Samson Lee mingled with the families with young children and local residents who turned out for the fun day on Wednesday (April 24).
Para Singh, who has run a shop at the garage with his wife Manjit for 13 years, said the name of the store’s franchise changed towards the end of last summer but last week’s fun day was the official opening.
Those who turned up received free Londis goodie bags and were able to enter a raffle to win tickets to a future Wales rugby match. They also enjoyed free food samples and face painting, while the players posed for photographs and signed autographs.
Mr Singh said the day, organised in association with fuel supplier Oil4Wales, went “very well and was amazing for the community despite it being a little damp”.
