Calling all local primary school artists - the Brecon and Radnor Express is giving you the chance to win a brilliant prize for the special ladies in your lives this Mother’s Day!

We’d love to see your drawings or paintings of your mums, nans or aunties - you can even include a message for them to tell them how special they are to you.

All entries for the competition will be printed in the Brecon and Radnor Express on the week before Mother’s Day and the best will also be used as the front page of our Weekender section.

The artist behind the winning entry will be presented with a voucher to buy their mum a bouquet of flower from their local florist.

We appreciate that not every child has a mum in their life and we would encourage everyone to take part by painting or drawing a picture of the important female figure in their lives.

We hope you have lots of fun producing their pictures and thinking of a special message ahead of Mother’s Day and we look forward to seeing your amazing pictures.

You can enter by sending your painting - with your name, address and age clearly printed on the back, to the B&R office at 11, The Bulwark, Brecon or you can send your picture via our website at www.brecon-radnor.co.uk or by visiting our Facebook page.

The competition is open to anyone of primary school age and all entries must reach us by 5pm on Monday, March 14.
