A WOMAN from Llangammarch Wells is hoping readers of the Brecon and Radnor Express will be able to help her uncover a few details about her coverlet - or bedspread.

Anne Ward picked up the coverlet in a Brecon charity shop because she thought it was rather interesting.

It is hand embroidered with 12 badges of military regiments.

She told the Brecon and Radnor Express: “So far, all we are sure of is that they were all active in WW1.

“We would like to find out more.

“We’re not looking to return it! We just want to hopefully hear from the donors and what they know of it.

“Even anonymously would be appreciated. We are hoping to then donate it to a public collection where it can be seen.”
