A LAMB is turning heads on a Breconshire farm - thanks to its distinctive markings.

The five week old Texel cross Suffolk ewe crossed with a Texel ram is split down the middle, with the left side of his face white and the other side black.

Farmer Richard Powell and partner Marianne Griffiths, and their children, have nicknamed the new born 'Battenburg' due to his similarity to the distinctive chequered sponge cake.
