PONTFAEN YFC members took part in the Brecknock YFC Public Speaking Day at the Royal Welsh Showground, Builth Wells.
Taking first place in the Welsh Debating were Angharad Rees, Harriet Bailey and Sioned Davies and in the Welsh Speaking under 16 the winning team were Angharad Rees, Catherine Morris and Carys Rees.
Winning the Situations Vacant was club secretary Sian Healey.
Third place was gained in the Brainstrust under 21 Bethan Wilson, Raiff Devlin, Sian Healey and Sioned Davies. With Raiff Devlin and Sioned Davies chosen for the county team.
The Vera Jones Bursary was won by Pontfaen YFC and will be used to purchase a boom box.
In the Junior Reading Carys Rees, Emily Prothero and Jess Rees gained third place with Rachel Rees, Eryn Stephens and Keira Williams also taking part.
Members also competed in the Wales YFC Public Speaking Day held last Saturday at the Royal Welsh Showground.
Winning the Brainstrust under 21 years was Raiff Devlin and Sioned Davies joined by Elin Havard and Megan Powell.
They will now represent Wales in the National YFC final on Saturday, July 6 in Stafford.
Sioned Davies was also a member of the Welsh Brainstrust team who were placed second. Sian Healey gained fourth place in Situations Vacant and Carys Rees, Catherine Morris and Rachel Rees took part in the Welsh Reading.
