KIRSTY Williams, Welsh Liberal Democrat AM for Brecon and Radnorshire, has congratulated everyone involved in securing Ystradgynlais a Silver Gilt in the Wales in Bloom awards, in only their second year entering the competition.
Wales in Bloom is the regional element of the national Britain in Bloom Competition supported by the Royal Horticultural Society – RHS. The RHS awards aim to find and celebrate communities with the best floral displays, organic gardening, and water features on offer.
Ms Williams said: “I would like to give a massive congratulations to everyone involved in Ystradgynlais’ effort for the competition. Given it is only their second year entering, receiving the Silver Gilt is a fantastic achievement.
“It is great to see people taking such pride in their community and the results of their hard work are there for everyone to enjoy.
“With the new autumn displays due to be out from October 6, Ystradgynlais and its fantastic range of high street shops are well worth a making a special trip to visit.”
