GWERNYFED entertained Brynmawr on Saturday and recorded a double over the visitors, winning in a high scoring game would have had Sean Edwards and his defensive team at the Millennium Stadium re-visiting the drawing board.
Despite still battling to avoid relegation, Brynmawr proved to be a much more resilient team than earlier in the season. They were the dominant force in the first 20 minutes as their forwards edged the battle for possession, ably supported by livewire scrum half Lee Roberts.
