MANY hundreds of visitors came to Llanwrtyd Wells to enjoy the world-famous Bog Snorkelling at Waen Rhyd Bog over the August Bank Holiday weekend, writes Ruth Stickland.
Congratulations and thanks are due to the Green Events Bog-Snorkelling committee as well as all the volunteers who worked so hard to make it such a success.
There were visitors from America, Australia, Europe and all parts of the UK.
Some were competing, but others had travelled a very long way just to view the spectacle.
There was plenty for everyone to see and do with a bouncy castle, beer, barbecues and live music. Many thanks are also due to World Alternative Games for organising additional fun activities – ditch-racing, wife-carrying and belly-flopping.
It all made for a very happy atmosphere with lots of people having a great time and the weather was amazing, dry with lots of sunshine.
