LAST Saturday the men’s international practice match took place at Llanelli, with Radnorshire’s Clive Martin involved.
On Sunday some excellent rinks of the Welsh Indoor Bowling Association Open Fours took place at the Radnorshire Indoor Centre, whilst the Radnorshire rink played and unfortunately lost at Islwyn.
Radnorshire Men play their final Premier League fixture of the season, away to Blaenau Gwent on Saturday. After gaining 18 points the previous weekend against Port Talbot, a good win would put Radnorshire in a third from bottom finish, with both Merthyr Tydfil and Port Talbot below them in the league table.
Whilst the Ladies International Series takes place this weekend, with Radnorshire lady bowlers Betty Morgan, Wendy Price and Paula Summerfield involved. These will be followed by the ladies and men’s championships between 14 and 16 and the Men’s International Series from the 17 to the 19, all matches will be staged at Llanelli Indoor Bowls Club. Over both days, Saturday and Sunday the Welsh Short mat singles and fours take place at the Radnorshire Indoor Bowls Centre.
This year for the first time in many years Radnorshire Indoor Bowling Association will host the Welsh Indoor Bowls Association Competition Finals on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 April 2016, all day event on both days takes place over six rinks.
