BUILTH Wells saved their best performance for the last match of the season as they beat Aberdare 8-6 in the final of the Heart of Wales Cup. Aberdare went into a early 3-0 lead but following a clever kick from outside half Gethin Lewis, Ashley Mills won a lineout and sent Aiden Luxton over for the try. Aberdare regained the lead thanks to another penalty early in the second half, but when man of the match Tom Davies pulled off one of numerous tackles which led to Aberdare being penalised for holding onto the ball, Seb Barrett stepped up to knock the penalty over to put Builth ahead again, and they held on for the remaining minutes to claim a dogged win.
