THE best riders in Britain descended on Rhayader & District Motor Cycle & Light Car Club Ltd’s Cwmythig Hill circuit where the club hosted a round of the ACU British Enduro Championship this weekend. On hand to start the event was county councillor Kelvyn Curry, Cllr Chris Walton who deputised for the Mayor of Rhayader, and John Collins, the chairman of the ACU governing body of motorcycle sport. They praised the effort that the Club had put in to stage the event, proving that Clubs can emulate if not better professional promoters. The action started on Friday night with a prologue for Championship and Expert riders before two days of the enduro which incorporated on the Saturday the Trevor Evans sidecar enduro. The photo sees club officials and dignities with the championship leaders in a civic send off.
