DURING December, the fishing was excellent during Llwyngwyn with 50 return tickets recording just one blank.
Also, larger fish were moving. Ken Holroyd from Tenbury Wells landed an 8lb and a 6lb 8oz Rainbow, K Gallagher from Upper Chapel had a 6lb 8oz fish, and Ben Evans of Rhayader (a Junior Welsh International this year) had a 5lb Rainbow. All these were caught from the bank, and not the boat.
The Cat’s Whisker was the best fly but also the Damsel and Montana caught well.
