Brecon Corries 1 Sully Sports 1.

BRECON Corries welcomed one of the leagues strongest outfits last weekend just two weeks after stealing three points away with 10 players, striker Brian Keddle in goal, Sully missing a penalty and Gareth Aplin scoring after a ricochet off his back.

Saturdays match was a spectacle to say the least with two strong sides battling for points to strengthen the final push for promotion to the Welsh League.

The Corries started with real purpose and intent causing Sully problems with their pace and strength coming close with a few early efforts on goal.

At the back the home team were resolute ensuring the ever potent Sully attack was dealt with accordingly.

Pressure and persistence paid off in the 36th minute when a free kick was awarded between the 18 yard box and the corner flag. Gavin Perry delivered for the one and only Paul Keddle to score with a well-executed header.

The two Keddles were causing problems all half but things were soon to change with Brian Keddle leaving the field of play with a groin strain.

In the second half Sully Sports came out with real intent showing why they have topped the league for so many years. The loss of manager Damien Daniels compounded the situation although the substitutes did very well when they came on.

Throughout the duration of the second half it was end-to-end stuff with both teams having chances. Sully were arguably the better team and equalised with nine minutes remaining. At the death Paul Keddle saw his shot drift wide of the post for both teams to share the points.
