Brecon Corries are away to Pontlottyn this weekend having picked up an impressive draw in their last outing.
The Corries became the first team to take a point from Penydarren BGC in the Highadmit Projects South Wales Alliance Premier Division this season when they entertained the Merthyr Tydfil side at the Rich Field.
Rhys Thomas put the Corries in front before Alex Lloyd equalised for the visitors who have reached the quarter finals of the JD Welsh Cup and the semifinals of the FAW Trophy.
On Saturday the Corries head to the Pontlottyn Welfare Ground in Caerphilly borough having recorded a 2-0 victory over their hosts in August, in what was their first victory of the season.
That Bank Holiday fixture was a special occasion for the Corries when the ’Groundhoppers’ - an army of travelling fans - visited the Rich Field and swelled the attendance to more than 250.
The groundhoppers are returning to Wales this weekend to take in a round of action in the JD Welsh Premier League across north Wales but Corries manager Damian Daniels will be hoping history can repeat itself with another clean sheet and a productive display in front of goal. Jack Bain and Craig Jones were on target for the Corries in the August fixture.
Pontlottyn, who are fifth from bottom, lost last time out, at home, to second placed Cardiff Draconians who triumphed by four goals to one at the Welfare Ground.
The Corries are eighth in the table, on 22 points while Penydarren have nine games in hand on leaders Ynyshir Albions.
Kickoff at the Welfare Ground is 2.30pm.
