BUILTH Wells new manager, Dylan McPhee has announced his first signing.
Chris Roff is returning to The Lant Field after a three year spell with Knighton Town.
Roff was Knighton’s first team Player of the Year and Supporters Player of the Year and his experience with The Robins in Division One will be a big benefit to Builth.
Luke Evans has also signed for Builth after a stint with former club, Llandrindod Wells.
Builth make their return to the Mid Wales League first division away at Berriew on Friday August 10.
The league will be known as the MMP with Norman Lloyd Mid Wales League following a new sponsorship deal.
Former sponsors Spar announced their decision to end their association after more than 14 years as backers and secretary, Phil Woosnam said: “We are very happy to get new sponsors after such a long association with Spar.”
Last season’s second division champions, Builth are back in division one for the first time since relegation in the 2013-2014 season and will be hoping to hit the ground running.
Builth then face a local derby at home against Radnor Valley before fixtures against Llanidloes Town (away), Knighton Town (home) and Llansantffraid Village (away) complete their August programme.
Radnor Valley were the highest placed of the local teams last season and they also kick off on the first Friday night of the new campaign at home against Kerry.
After their midweek trip to Builth, The Goats face Churchstoke and Llandrindod Wells at home and Tywyn Bryncrug away.
Knighton Town and Llandrindod Wells both start their seasons on Saturday August 11 with difficult away games. Knighton visit Llanfair United while Llandrindod travel to Aberaeron.
Knighton’s other early season fixtures are Llanidloes Town (home), Carno (home), Builth Wells (away) and Kerry (away) while Llandrindod in August also face Welshpool Town (home) Kerry (home), Radnor Valley (away) and Llanfair United (home).
In Division Two, Rhayader Town, promoted as Mid Wales (South) League Champions visit fellow newcomers, Waterloo Rovers on the opening day.
Hay St Marys are the only Brecon & Radnor side at home when they host another of the new sides, Four Crosses.
Presteigne, Brecon Northcote and Newbridge all have a fair distance to travel for their openers. Presteigne are at Mchynlleth, Newbridge at Dolgellau while Northcote have a day at the seaside when they journey to Borth United, who along with Machynlleth were relegated from Division One.
