BUILTH Wells Golf Club hosted a charity golf competition on Friday, May 25, in aid of the Wales children's hospice Ty Hafan.

Organiser Bobby Wynn is hoping that total fundraising will surpass £5,000 from the event.

The Thursday Night Boys won the event, a team from neighboring Llandrindod Wells Golf Club, consisting of David Parsons, Mal Thomas, Chris Sterry and Mike Dinwoody, with Builth's Gwynfor Evans winning a magnum of champagne on the 17th hole when his drive landed nearest to the champagne cork hidden on the green.
