THE annual Captains Drive in started off with quite a nice morning with some sun and a cool breeze, as the day went on the cloud cover came in but there were only a few intermittent showers in the afternoon.
There were 30 teams of 4 playing overall with 10 teams playing in the morning and 20 teams playing in the afternoon and this made for a great social evening for the delicious hot buffet from Rich and Mel Wimmer and after everyone had a good feed it was onto the Battle Auction.
The Battle is the clubs 4BBB matchplay and each pairing are auctioned off in the evening and the resulting funds are split up to provide money for the chosen Charities of the Captains - Combat Stress - an organisation which provides care and help to those who have been involved in stressful situations in conflict.
