HAY-on-Wye claimed their maiden win of the season in emphatic style with Johnny Daw scoring a scintillating, unbeaten double century as they thrashed Builth Wells 1sts by 221 runs.
Daw scored an incredible 204* as Hay posted a formidable 324, losing only one wicket along the way. Daw's incredible innings included an amazing 28 fours and six sixes.
Daw was supported well in the home side's innings by John Sly who also finished unbeaten on 61, with his innings including six fours and one maximum, while opener Karl Warn was the only Hay wicket to fall, but he still chipped in with 36.
Richard Runciman was devastating with the ball for Hay as he ripped through the Builth order with seven wickets, conceding just 34 runs.
