HAY-ON-WYE Paralympian Josie Pearson is vying for the title of British Female Athlete of Year.

The Paralympic discuss champion took the world title at last summer's IPC World Championships when she improved her own world record.

Josie, who competes in a wheelchair, also collected a bronze medal in the club throw at the championships that were held in Lyon, France.

Her achievements mean she is nominated alongside World 400 metre champion Christine Ohuruogu for the accolade which is being decided by a public vote on the British Athletics Facebook page.
