Builth Wells are in deep relegation trouble in the Ardal League North East following a 3-3 draw at Lex X1 who scored twice in stoppage time to rob The Bulls of a much needed victory.

Builth had led at half-time through Danny Ives who slid home a Will Evans cross. Two goals in four minutes from young starlet, Harry Edwards early in the second half looked to have put Builth on track for a win. Edwards got his first after good work from Seth Bridgeman and extended the lead with a superb 25 yard volley.

Giorgi Donkor pulled one back for Lex from the penalty spot and disaster struck for The Bulls late on. Reece Jones further reduced the deficit and then Jardel Tavares snatched an equaliser although Builth felt there was an obvious handball which went unseen by the officials. Builth ‘keeper, Kham Steventon picked up a yellow card and then a second following the final whistle for dissent which rules him out of Saturday’s trip to Kerry which is now a must win game for The Bulls.

Llandrindod Wells played out a goalless draw at home against Llanrhaeadr which was a fair result on the run of play. Llandrindod had a let off in the first half when a clearance from ‘keeper, James Barker rebounded into the net off Will Howard but the effort was ruled out for handball against the Llanrhaeadr striker. There were few chances at either end although Shaun Nicholls went closest to breaking the deadlock for Llandrindod in the second half when his header was cleared off the line from a Jack Evans corner. Llandrindod had to play the last eight minutes with ten men after midfielder, Rob Kear picked up a second yellow card but overall, despite plenty of effort, neither side did enough to deserve all three points.

Radnor Valley slipped to a narrow 1-0 defeat at Dolgellau whose Ioan Roberts proved the difference with the all-important goal two minutes before half-time. The Goats felt a number of decisions went against them on the day including one in the first five minutes when strong penalty appeals were turned down after Cian Bufton appeared to be taken out by ‘keeper, Darren Andrews. Radnor ‘keeper, Otto Jones made two fine saves from Paul Lewis before Dolgellau made the breakthrough with a fine finish from Roberts at the far post.

There were few chances in the second half although Radnor might have had another penalty following a foul on Matt Croose. Radnor did get the ball in the net in the final minute when Croose headed in after substitute, Adam Jones had flicked on a corner, but he was adjudged to have fouled the ‘keeper.

In the big match of the day, Knighton Town crashed to a 3-0 defeat at Bow Street who leapfrogged The Radnor Robins into second spot in the table. Taylor Watts had given Bow Street an interval lead but Knighton were confident they could turn it around in the second half. But Rhys Hughes netted a second for the well organised hosts and Watts scored his second of the game to condemn Knighton to back to back defeats and all but end their title challenge. Knighton are now nineteen points behind leaders, Llanuwchllyn with three games in hand.

Llanuwchllyn themselves are showing no signs of slowing down and eased to a 5-1 win at Llangollen Town with Meilir Williams again leading the way with yet another hat-trick.

Elsewhere Llanfair United eased their relegation worries with Jack Jones (2), Owain James and Getthin Stephens netting in a 4-41 win at Rhos Aelwyd while Jamie Rainbird salvaged a point for Corwen with a stoppage time equaliser in their 3-3 draw with Cefn Albion.
