THE best fish of the month goes to Mike Bradbury of Hereford for catching and releasing a 4lb 8 oz Brown Trout.
Also Thomas Skipsey, of Rhayader, for his 4lb 5oz Brown which was also caught and released.
Mike Palfre of Llandrindod Wells landed a rainbow of 5lb 8oz. Terry Kerr of Howey had a nice bag of three fish for 13lb 8oz.
Best flies were Montana, Cormorant, Cat’s Whisker and Damsels. The fish tended to be near the surface, so dry lines did well, with dry flies.
This years annual Fur & Feather Competition will be held at Llyngwyn on Sunday, December 20. Entries must be at the lake by 9am with fishing between 10am and 3pm. There will also be a presentation and supper afterwards at the Lamb and Flag in Rhayader.
