The Young Ambassador Movement aims to empower and inspire young people to become role models and leaders through sport, by developing their confidence and skills in order to increase physical activity participation in others.
The London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics was used by the Young Ambassador scheme as a catalyst to inspire change in others through taking up physical activity. As the legacy of the London 2012 Olympics lives on, we look to the up and coming 2016 Olympic games in Rio as inspiration for encouraging our next generation to lead an active and healthy lifestyle and to find a sport they will love.
YA’s had the chance to meet and listen to two silver medalist at the 2015 Warrior Games, Darren Carew. YA’s were involved in both practical and theory based tasks throughout the day based around the YA movement and learning how they can make a difference in their communities.
