History was made with Brecon RFC on Saturday, October 17, when a father and son took to the field together for the team for the first time, according to a reliable source.
Rugby club stalwart and veteran player Alan Taylor joined his son Owain Evans-Taylor, 29 years his junior, in the Brecon Athletic senior pack for the away match against Pontycymmer.
The pair lined up at hooker and flanker respectively.
Alan said: “This was a huge game for Owain and I. I feel extremely grateful to still be able to play at this level, but I must admit, I felt old playing with the likes of Owain and my nephew Ben Pritchard.
“I certainly raised the average age of the team and enjoyed the experience, despite the loss.”
