AS Gwernyfed RFC embarks upon the next 50 years of rugby in the Black Mountains, the Club’s fund raising team has organised a fun day for the community on the July 2 at 2.30pm at its Trefecca Road ground.

The main aim of the event is to showcase the fact that Gwernyfed is very much a family and community club but the event will also help to raise vital funds that are needed to purchase the playing pitches at Trefecca Road.

This bold move will secure the future of the green, white and blacks for the benefit of the hundreds of youngsters enjoying both the sport and the camaraderie that the club offers – and not just for today’s under sevens but for their own children and grandchildren.

The day will include Zorb-Balling, bouncy castles, face-painting, ‘school sports’ for all ages and a wide range of fun events for all the family to enjoy.

Refreshments will be served all day, there will be a live band playing in the evening and a special guest appearance during the day.
