DOLAFON Primary School held its annual tag rugby tournament for local schools just before the half term break.

Each team fields 10 players with at least two girls playing for each side.

This year the winners were Llanelwedd Primary School with the hosts, Dolafon Primary School, placing second. The event was organised by Catherine Williams and fellow member of staff Elizabeth Davies said the event had been a huge success.

She added: “It’s a great way to introduce both girls and boys to rugby. We hold it every year and it’s always very popular.”
