Talgarth Town’s quest for the Watson Financial Mid Wales (South) League title suffered a further dent as they were held 2-2 at home by St Harmon and they twice had to come from behind to salvage a point.

Ryan Abel had put The Swifts ahead on 20 minutes but topscorer, Grzes Chodnicki drew Talgarth level just before half-time. St Harmon, who have now lost just one of their last eleven in the league, their best run since their one and only Championship winning campaign back in 2001-2002, regained the lead with ten minutes remaining through Connor Powell but a stoppage time penalty from Kyle O’Shea meant it finished all square. Talgarth themselves have only lost once in the league all season but seven draws has hindered their title ambitions.

Elsewhere Knighton Town Reserves extended their unbeaten run to seven with a 6-0 home victory over Hay Development. Cain Martin and Leon Morris put The Radnor Robins two up and three goals in five minutes leading up to half-time from Martin, Henry Shaw and captain, Jack Brindley ended the game as a contest. To Hay’s credit, they did not throw in the towel and restricted Knighton to one second half goal which came from Leon Morris with his second of the afternoon.
