BUILTH Wells and Glangrwyney played out an enthralling game as the curtain went up on the Mid Wales cricket season last weekend.

If this game is anything to go by, Mid Wales is in for a treat this summer.

Bowlers were the stars of the show for both sides with Grwyney's Ben Bowker taking an unbelievable eight wickets - including a hat-trick - as the visitors came away from Garth Road with the points in a nervy one run victory.
