Stunning artwork from over 100 Welsh painters will be on show across Wales this summer thanks to a local initiative.
This July will see the start of the third biennial series of Welsh Contemporary Painting Exhibitions across south, mid and west Wales.
The exhibitions will incorporate eleven venues - with four in Brecon and one in Glasbury - showcasing over 100 Welsh contemporary painters.

Full details of the exhibitions will be announced in the spring and will be coordinated by Glasbury Arts.
As a taster of what is to come, an online exhibition was launched last month with exhibits from eight of the galleries including Found and Ardent galleries in Brecon, and Glasbury Arts in Glasbury.
The artists featured in the online exhibitions based in Powys are: Louise Collis, Gigi Jones, Dawn Harries, Ken Dukes, Maggie James, Susan Williams and Tracy Thursfield, providing a wide range of styles and creativity. Many of the exhibits are for sale whilst others are on temporary loan.
To view the exhibition go to the Celebration of Welsh Contemporary Painting website (cowcp.co.uk) and follow the directions on the home page. The online exhibition also contains information about each venue and artist.
The organisation of the ‘live’ and online exhibitions is managed by a planning group made up of representatives from each venue with additional coordination provided by Glasbury Arts.

Punch Maughan, vice-chair of the initiative said: “Having hosted an exhibition as part of this collaboration in 2019 at Theatr Brycheiniog it is great to see this biennial event coming together again, and for people to be able to view online some of what is coming up later in the year.”
