A PETITION opposing proposed changes to parking restrictions in Crickhowell has topped 1,500 signatures.
The proposed restrictions, which include laying of new yellow lines and the introduction of limited waiting restrictions, as well as alterations to some existing restrictions, have been criticised by businesses and residents.
They say the proposals will remove parking places used by shoppers and local residents.
The proposals were made after Powys County Council conducted a review of parking arrangements in the town and the council's plans are available to see at the Crick Centre.
Objector Roger White said he will be delivering the petition to County Hall ahead of the deadline for comments on the proposals to be submitted on Thursday, March 13.
Mr White said: "Residents and shopkeepers are deeply concerned about the draft orders."
People have until Thursday, March 20 to comment on parking restrictions proposed for a lay by on the Beaufort Street A40 trunk road opposite the bowling green.
