FAMILIES of the two men who died in a crash on October 2 on the A40 between Llandovery and Halfway have paid tributes to them.
Philip Martin Bramble, 47, from the Bridgend area and 44-year-old Philip Wayne Edwards from the Merthyr Tydfil area died when their motorbikes collided with a Peugeot Van towing a trailer.
A statement released by Dyfed-Powys Police said: "Tragically both riders of the motorbikes died at the scene. Next of kin have been advised and out thoughts remain with the families.
"The driver and passenger of the van were taken to hospital for treatment."
The family of Philip Brimble said he was a "dearly beloved husband and soulmate of Ann" and that he "has left a massive void in the lives of his family and friends."
Speaking about Philip Edwards, his family said: "Phillip was a loving partner, father, grandfather, brother and son and will be sorely missed by all his family and friends."
Following the accident, that happened just before midday, the road was closed in both directions with diversions put in place, and was re-opened at approximately 6.30pm.
