On Sunday, Central Beacons Rescue Team were called out to assist the first response team at Bike Park Wales.

Following an accident, a man had sustained a neck injury, possibly fracturing it.

Medics at the Bike Park had carried out an initial assessment and the stabilisation process.

Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust Paramedics gave the casualty advanced pain relief before requesting help from Central Beacons Rescue Team.

The request of the rescue team was so they could safely and careful extract the injured man to the ambulance.

This was Central Beacons Rescue Team's first callout in weeks.

A spokesperson for the rescue team said: "Another example of great joint working, we’re grateful to Bike Park staff for all their help. We hope the gentleman’s injury isn’t a serious one and we wish him a full and speedy recovery."
