Police are appealing for information after a motorcyclist was killed in a single-vehicle crash.

The male biker was riding a red Ducatti Panigale motorbike yesterday, when he collided with a road barrier between Llanfihangel Nant Melan and New Radnor at about 9.35am.

Dyfed-Powys Police said that the man had been taken to hospital but he sadly passed away following the A44 road incident which saw the road close for more than six hours.

A force spokesperson said: “Dyfed-Powys Police attended a single vehicle road traffic collision which occurred at about 9.35am, Sunday, July 3rd, on the A44 between LLanfihangel Nant Melan and New Radnor.

“A red Ducatti Panigale motorcycle collided with a road barrier. The male rider of the motorcycle was taken to hospital where he sadly passed away.

“The road was closed and reopened at 4pm.”
