Police are investigating after a Powys football club suffered a burglary on Christmas morning.

Talgarth Town clubhouse was broken into at around 5am on Christmas morning.

A large amount of alcohol was taken.

A spokesperson for Talgarth Town said on social media that the club was appealing for help.

"Please can everyone check their CCTV/Ring Doorbell cameras," they said.

The club said the clubhouse was broken into via the bowling club side at 5am and the culprits may have returned at around 5:20am, before potentially exiting near the tennis courts/Westfields.

A spokesperson for the police said: “Dyfed-Powys Police received a report of a burglary at Talgarth Football Club, which is believed to have taken place at around 5am on Christmas Day.

"A large amount of alcohol was reported to have been taken. Enquiries are ongoing.
