Police are investigating the unexplained death of a bird of prey in the Brecon area.

The Rural Crime Team of Dyfed-Powys Police is looking into the death of goshawk, which was found on Sunday, April 10 and recovered by the team.

Although the cause of death has not been revealed, the discovery comes just a few weeks after police appealed for information after nesting birds were shot at in the Sennybridge area.

The Rural Crime Team said that an unknown individual was shooting at the birds with an air rifle, with the incident taking place on March 4.
