Police have told Breconshire residents to be vigilant with their cash after counterfeit twenty-pound notes were found in circulation.
Dyfed-Powys Police took to Twitter to issue the warning on Twitter after receiving reports of the convincing fraudulent money.
The fake £20 notes are understood to all have a serial number which starts with BL20 as well as a watermark which indicates that the notes are not legitimate, according to the force.
Officers Tweeted a photo of the serial number on one of the fake notes to help residents to know what to look out for.
On the Breconshire Police account, the force said: “Please be aware there are reports of counterfeit £20 notes in circulation, the notes start with BL20. With a watermark indicating Media Money”
