Dyfed-Powys Police are investigating a collision involving two quad bikes that closed a road in Brecon on Saturday evening, one of which fled the scene.

The collision on Saturday, 21 March, on the B4601 between Watton and the Camden Road junction, involved two quad bikes and another two quad bikes that are believed to be linked to the collision, failed to stop at the scene.

The rider of one of the quad bikes, a 21-year-old male, sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision and was taken to hospital by Air Ambulance.

Enquiries led to a 17-year-old male being arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and released on bail.

The Police’s full statement on the collision said: “The collision involved 2 quad bikes, one of which fled the scene. Another 2 Quad Bikes, believed to be linked, also failed to stop at the collision.

“The rider of one of the quad bikes, a 21-year-old male, sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision and was taken to hospital by Air Ambulance. Enquiries led to a 17-year-old male being arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and released on bail.”
