On Thursday, 22 June Western Beacons Mountain Rescue Team were called out by Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust to help a fallen horse rider on the mountain near Ystralyfera in the Swansea Valley.

The casualty was located by the team and Welsh Ambulance personnel.

She was then immobilised in a vacuum mattress and loaded onto a stretcher before being carried to a rescue helicopter to be transported to hospital.

A spokesperson for Western Beacons Mountain Rescue Team said: "We wish the casualty a speedy recovery."
